Childbirth and neonatal preparation classes inform expectant parents about the latest thinking about pregnancy, pre-natal development, child birth and infant care; provide opportunities to ask questions and be reassured by a health professional; and share feelings and useful information with other expectant parents.
In addition to classes, advice on childbirth and infant care is also provided to couples and individuals.
Whether you are expecting your first baby or not, it’s a good idea to have up-to-date information to help you prepare for childbirth and welcoming your newborn.

Sessions begin for the fourth month of pregnancy, they are conducted in French or in English, and they are for individual/couple. Each session will finish by 15 min of relaxation.
The seven 1-hour sessions before the birth are as follows:
1. Pregnancy: my beautiful 9 months
Physiological changes during pregnancy, hygiene advices, medical follow-up. Better to have this session early in the pregnancy, around 20 weeks (4-5 months)
2. How to prepare yourself to the birth
When to come to the hospital, hospital bag, perineum preparation. Pelvis position (De Guasquet), perineum massage
3. Labor and delivery
Theoretical workshop:medical aspect, analgesia , birth, instrumental extraction, C-section. Making plans for labor and birth.
4. Labor: breathing & position
Movement and position, abdominal breathing
5. Childbirth-trust yourself and your instinct
How to push and the different positions to give birth.
6. Post partum and back home with baby:
What’s happen for the mother and her baby after birth, during the hospitalization and when they come back home.

7. Mother’s milk, gift of nature: breastfeeding time

Classes to strengthen your perineum muscles after a natural or cesarean birth. This really helps to recover the lost muscle strength brought about during pregnancy and delivery.
